I have practiced criminal law for almost 14 years and have spent over a decade in the courts of Travis County as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. I believe good and sound judgment comes from having experience on both sides of the aisle and knowing what values our community places on certain crimes and punishments.

The presumption of innocence is at the heart of our criminal justice system. I believe that incarceration should be reserved for repeat and violent offenders and treatment should be offered to those who suffer from addiction.

As your criminal district judge, I will uphold the laws before me and treat every individual who stands before the bench with respect and dignity.
